Our newest member…….Tea Fields, 46 North Dean Street, Erica Morrison, owner.  This store has not opened as yet, but they will be participating in the Sidewalk Sale.  The new Englewood destination for specialty tea and gourmet light fare. For those who aren’t tea drinkers, Tea Fields will also sell premium coffee as well. Afternoon tea will be served along with delicious desserts. If you haven’t experienced afternoon tea, make sure you stop by. I will update you on the store opening date.

July 16 is an evening networking event for members only. Please contact the office for information.

July 23 is the Jackals Baseball Inter-Chamber event.

October 3 is the next 3-Minute Speed Networking breakfast.

November 19 is the 5th Annual Luncheon and Shopping Expo.

Town Motors, the oldest automobile dealership in Englewood is moving their Porsche dealership to 105 Grand Avenue and will open on Wednesday, July 16. The General Manager is Joseph Allis. Stop by and say hello to Joseph and his staff and see their beautiful new facility. Pehaps I’ll see you there!

Dean Street and Englewood Avenue as well as the metered parking lot behind Towne Center with entrances on S. Van Brunt Street and Humphrey Street between Palisade and Englewood Avenues. The garage is open from 7am-11pm.

I’ve been talking to a number of business people in the downtown - merchants and professionals and the news is not all bad.  Yes, buying in some areas has slowed down, but a number of the people I’ve spoken to are doing fine and some are doing great!.

Gito is expanding their shoe department. Giovanna has her customers that have been buying their spring and summer wardrobes (includes free alterations!). The Luggage Corner has a lot of customers that are traveling and need suitcases.  That Look has had a steady stream of customers each time I’ve stopped by. My Little Princess has added an adult line of clothing that has been doing well. That’s just a few.

Bennett Studios is booked solid for more than 2 months.  If you need a session today, you won’t be able to get in until late June, early July!  More and more musicians are coming to Bennett Studios from New York for their sessions. Congratulations Dae!  This is one of the treasures in our downtown.

An Educational Event for People and Pets in Veterans Park

PETFIT

Englewood Animal Hospital and the City of Englewood Health Department will host an educational program focusing on the correlation between pet and childhood obesity and prevention.

There will be a pet fitness exhibit sponsored by the Hills pet food company. This is an exhibit that is going around the country visiting 18 cities.  Free fitness assessments and body condition scores for your pets. So come on down and enjoy the fun!
